Should The Hammond be reformulated into a performing arts AND culinary school? We shall find out on this week’s episode of British Bake off!

On Saturday, the organised activity was guided meditation, a chance for everyone to practice self-soothing and de-stressing skills, that can be practiced anyway in order to heighten mood and ensure confidence. This was enjoyed by many students, and was just the reset they all required to ensure they were all rejuvenated for the week ahead!

Of course, there was more baking! On this week’s menu there was chocolate chip banana bread (the 5-a-day has to get in somehow!!) This made the Boarding house smell absolutely beautiful and it tasted amazing also! It’s so important to see bonds being formulated and life skills coming to fruition from all of our pupils in all our weekend and indeed week night activities as we find the older pupils supporting younger students in their education on being self-sufficient!
