What a day!
The last Thursday of term was not only Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas dinner day at The Hammond (a huge thank you to the Sodexo team for an incredible lunch!!!), we had a completely original Panto written by one of our very own Year 8 students Alex and performed incredibly by all of Year 8. (Pictured below with a very special guest star).
We also showed that we don’t need a show to enact show week traditions, with Year 10 all marking the occasion of Year 11’s last Christmas at The Hammond - with varying degrees of success...
On the last Saturday of term, it is Hammond Dance tradition to stage a choreography competition with each year creating their own dance and performing at the end of the day. Whilst we were unable to do that this year due to social distancing...we managed to film the work and share the videos today to be judged. Congratulations to Year 11 on their crown (although all pieces were absolutely brilliant!) You can watch all entries on the front page of this site or in the YouTube playlist.
Whilst it’s not a normal end of term and we’re unable to head out to the Cathedral for carols tomorrow, we’ve absolutely loved getting into the Christmas spirit at school.
