If you show emotion as a man

Are you weak?

If you let your problems beat you down,

Would you handle it?

If your words meant everything,

Could you take the responsibility?

Could you walk through a storm

And hold your head high?

Could you walk on

And leave the past behind?

We’re all together

This means more

I’ll guide you the way

To take to my throne

If you can do this my son,

If you can show confidence without being difficult,

Will you fit in?

If you can be like the ‘popular girls’ and considered worthy,

Will you fit in?

If you make an effort with how you look,

Is that trying too hard?

But if you don’t wear makeup will you be judged?

If you are pretty,

Will you fit in?

Beauty is pain.

If you can follow your dreams,

And not follow the crowd.

If you can show strength,

And show weakness.

Then you are beautiful.

And – which is more – you are not alone.
